San Fernando Cathedral

CNMC attendees can experience a beautiful Mass on Sunday at San Antonio’s cathedral, San Fernando. Founded in 1731, the cathedral is currently celebrating its 275th anniversary, making it the oldest active cathedral in the United States. Today, it remains San Antonio’s spiritual center, not only for the over 670,000 Catholics living in the city, but also for interreligious celebrations and Hispanic cultural events. The Cathedral is also literally the geographical center of the city, marked with stone on the floor of the sanctuary near the altar.
