Among the first North American settlers from Europe and effort to bring Christianity to the new world were the Franciscan missionaries who established the five missions which now constitute the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.
For info on each mission, watch the videos I’ve posted. Each one holds a uniquely interesting experience for visitors, especially those of the Catholic faith. The missions are indeed the first roots of Catholicism in the United States.
