You could spend all day enjoying the San Antonio Riverwalk. The River, which runs through the heart of the city, is lined with shops, restaurants, and historical landmarks. Also known as the Paseo del Rio, the Riverwalk allows visitors to enjoy the serenity and liveliness of life along the river.
Be sure to take a river boat tour. Often in photos of San Antonio, you’ll see crowds of people riding on small boats. Our river is unique in that it acts as a sort of transportation route, with boats bussing people from one end to the other. Visit the Rio San Antonio Cruises station near the Rivercenter Mall to enjoy a ride down the river narrated by a knowledgable tour guide. He or she will let you in on all the fascinating details of each part of the river.
